Arkistonäkymässä ei tällä hetkellä lainaus erotu varsinaisesta viestistä. Suosittelemme että vilkaisette ns. täydellistä versiota: : Karl Ekholm. Fitchburg MA 1903-1909

My grandfather Karl Viktor Ekholm was born in 1877 in Finland. He lived as an immigrant in Fitchburg MA from 1903 to 1909. He came from Hanko via Liverpool to Boston. He was a baker. I’ve been told that he used to have a bar / café / bakery in Fitchburg. He has no family in USA. I have a postcard which has been addressed to him 399 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA in November 1908. Does anyone know what was located there in those days? Is there a chance to find any further information about him or his company? I’ll be visiting Fitchburg for few days in June to find my grandfather’s footmarks.
Thank you in advance for all assistance!

You can see what is at that address today: http://maps.google.com/maps?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=399+main+street+fitchburg+MA&um=1&ie=UTF-8&split=0&gl=us&ei=C5AZSumnDpCYtAP3yeSSDw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1
It seems that Cahill's Pub is next door, and Elizabeth Nails is on the other side.
Seems kind of like a "restaurant row".
The nail shop is 387 Main St.
The pub is 409 Main St.
There is a Walter Ekholm mentioned in Fitchburg here: http://www.loffe.net/content/view/1450/59/
