I am looking for information about my paternal aunt Hilma Tolonen, maiden name Syväjärvi.
Place of birth: Ylitornio, Lapland, Finland
To America: first in 1906 and 1911.
Married Eino Oskari Tolonen around 1913 (?)
Place of residence: Hancock, Michigan
Occupation: servant in a private home
Involved in the Socialist Party and volunteered for John Vuorinumme's "Työmies" magazine.
Moved with Eino to the Soviet Union and Karelia. Documents unearthed during Perestroika show that Eino Oskari Tolonen was executed in Stalin's persecution in the spring of 1938.
The question is: What happened to aunt Hilma?
Eino and Hilma had no children.
