Searching for relatives in Carelia

Names: Vunukainen, Koivistoinen, Suikkanen

Locations: Jokionen, Rahikkala, Karhumäki

Vunukainen name is rather rare, and it may be an Ingrian name. Try searching with Vunukainen + geni and you get some results by that name, connected with Estonians.

Koivistoinen and Suikkanen are common names in Karelia.

Is Jokioinen maybe the place where they lived after 1944 as it is deep in Finland, near Hämeenlinna or Forssa?

Rahikkala used to be a village in Antrea (in Karelia), also in Inkere (in Ingria).

Karhumäki is in Russian Karelia (and has not been in Finnish Karelia at all) , north of Petroskoi/Pedrozavodsk.
