I'm looking for more information of Charley Järvenpää (b. 18.1.1873) and his wife Anna (b. April 1878- April 1789).

They got married at Hancock, Michigan 6.4.1919 and were farmers Inger, Minnesota. It seems they didn't have any children. Most likely Charley died on 15.1.1951 at Grand Rapids, Minnesota (He is marked to be born on 1883 but parent names reveal that he is the correct Charley) and Anna might have died on 30.12.1949 at Itasca county.

Charley was born as Kaarle Tapani Järvenpää at Tyrvää, Finland. His parents were (Tuomo) Tapani Järvenpää and his wife Miina. His Finnish family is well known to me.

Anna is marked with family name Andersson on Houghton country marriage list. On same list her father is said to be Andrew Andersson. Anna (also known as Annie) is marked to be born in Finland.

What I would like to know more is how Kaarle and Anna got to US? Did they make only one trip or did they travel back to Finland at any point? I know that Charley moved to US on 1908 but have not been able to find record of this from US side. Still they both are marked to have moved to US on 1902 based on 1920 Census. So maybe Anna moved to US on 1902?

Also I would like to know about Anna's parents. Was her father Andrew Andersson living in US too? Where in Finland family is from? I have not find any hint of this in records. And of course when Anna was born exactly?

Material I have managed to find on them from US records until now:

This site will not allow me to upload the entire page from the 1909 Empress of Britain passenger list because the file is too large. If I resize the file, you probably would not be able to read it. So I cropped it (see line 16)

Kalle Järvenpää, a Stone Cutter from Tyrvää, going to join a friend in Duluth, MN. There is a place on the second page to indicate whether the person had previously been in America. No information was shown there for Kalle Järvenpää.

Thank you BessemerFinn for further details on how Kalle (Kaarle, Charley) left Finland towards Duluth, MN. From which service you where looking the passenger list photo of Empress of Britain? Did that boat leave on 15.1.1909 from Britain and when did it reach Boston?

Any further information on Anna would still be welcome! Especially any document revealing from which part of Finland she was from.
