I am looking for any information concerning Aina Salmén. She was born November 11th, 1893 in Iitti as Aina Ahl. In 1913, she changed her name to Aina Salmén. At that time, she lived in Lahti. According to our family records and furthermore, Iitti Parish records she is known to have moved to USA in 1913.
The Finnish Migration Institute's records do not recognise a person called Aina Salmén. However, a person named Aino Sallmén, age 19 can be found. She left Helsinki on board S/S Titania, in August 20th, 1913. In England, she is known to be aboard S/S Carmania (Cunard), which sailed in August 26th, 1913. Her destination was New York, USA. Aino Sallmén arrived to Ellis Island in September 3, 1913. According to Ellis Island records, Aino Sallmén's last place of residence in Finland had been Lahti.
In America, Aina Salmén probably married Viljo Johnson, but any other details concerning her marriage and family history in USA are currently unknown.
I would greatly appreciate any further information.
