Amerikkalainen etsii juuriaan:

Minnie Katie Kerchberger (or Kursch or Kurtz or any other spelling). Father Karl A. Kerchberger 1832-1889 possibly born in Germany whose borders overlap Russia now? Both parents born in Prussia(?) And mother Barbara Albert (her American name) 1850-1895 which may be an incorrect date of death. She was born in Russia, both parents born in Russia. The family emigrated 1878 to Hay Springs, Sheridan County, Nebraska, USA. Arrived in New York 28 June 1876 with children Helena, Rudolph Barnhardt, Anna, and twins Emma and Bertha who may have been born on the trip or in Ellis Island, or shortly thereafter. I have heard that pregnant women could not enter until the child was born, maybe they were already born, not sure. Charles and Minnie Katie were born in the USA. They departed Russia possibly through Kiev, then got on the ship in Hamburg.
