Hello, I cant find papers from birth and baptized in Salla. Is it because it is not on internet yet, or is it lost? Or are the papers in another city?

Salla (earlier Kuolajärvi, until 1936) was part of Kuusamo until 1776, after that part of Kemijärvi. Kuolajärvi got its own chapel in 1826 and became a parish of its own in 1857.

Here some details of Salla, partly in Swedish and mostly in Finnish http://hiski.genealogia.fi/seurakunnat/srk?CMD=SRK&ID=244&TYPE=HTML&LANG=SE . (http://hiski.genealogia.fi/seurakunnat/srk?CMD=SRK&ID=244&TYPE=HTML&LANG=SE)

Remember that Salla was before 1936 called Kuolajärvi. Salla was only one village in Kuolajärvi.

Between 1698-1746 papers from birth and baptized in Salla are after Kemijärvi papers. They are marked under 'Lapp barn'.
Between 1747-1787 they are marked under 'Lappmark barn i Kuolajärvi'.
From 1788 they are within Kemijärvi papers.
